A calm install keeps your history.
- Back up and copy the WhatsApp folder off the phone.
- Uninstall official WhatsApp.
- Download from the download page.
- Allow the install source and install.
- Verify your number.
- Restore. If needed, rename the folder to the Gold package and reopen.
